PILATES FOR STRENGTH AND MOBILITY CLASS

This Pilates class is designed for anyone in the studio community (performers, older siblings, and parents) who want to build strength, ease, and confidence in their bodies. The class blends mindful movement, functional strength, and breathwork to support both the physical demands of performance and the stresses of everyday life.

Students learn simple, adaptable Pilates principles that improve alignment, core stability, and mobility without the pressure of perfection. Whether you’re preparing for choreography, supporting a young performer, or just taking a moment for yourself while you wait, this class offers a grounded, welcoming space to move, reset, and feel good in your body.

No experience is needed. The focus is on accessible movement, reducing tension, and discovering how strong and capable your body already is.

Instructor Bio

JACQUIE CHANG: blends Pilates with her background in social work and humanitarian practice to create a deeply supportive, empowering approach to mind‑body wellness. She bridges mental healthcare and movement, using Pilates principles to help students refine technique, protect their bodies, and explore the interplay of movement, emotion, and imagination. This integrated work guides performers toward a resilient mind‑body connection that supports them onstage and in daily life, inviting them to see their bodies as storytellers within spaces that feel safe, confident, and grounded.
