Take a fantastic musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car that flies through the air and sails the seas. Based on the beloved 1968 film version of Ian Fleming’s children’s book, and featuring an unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one family-friendly blockbuster that audiences will find “Truly Scrumptious.” An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties, including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher.

If you have a currently enrolled student in one of CTLB’s After-School Theatre Programs and have received a special adult ticket voucher, you can either bring that voucher to the Box Office before any one of the above listed shows to redeem the voucher at that time (Box Office opens approx. 45 mins before each curtain time), or if you’d like to pre-purchase and reserve seats online and would like to utilize the special adult ticket voucher at that time as well, please contact CTLB via email at boxoffice@ctlbkids.org before purchasing online for further instructions on how to pre-purchase online with the voucher (please note: tix.com will charge a $1 handling fee for processing the voucher online).

Registration is for Kids & Adults -- Ensembles Only

Main Rehearsals begin Sat Jan 31st and continue every Sat & Sun from 1 pm to 5 pm (1/31, 2/1, 2/7, 2/8, 2/14, 2/15 -- Tech Week TBD). You may be called on some weeknights, only as needed, in Jan & Feb (Tues, Wed, & Thurs from 5pm to 7pm).
Rehearsals at the Ernest Borgnine Theatre (855 Elm Ave, Long Beach 90813)

Shows: Sat 2/21, Sun 2/22, Fri 2/27, Sat 2/28, Sun 3/1, Fri 3/6, Sat 3/7, & Sun 3/8 (Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 2pm, and Sundays at 2pm) located at the Ernest Borgnine Theatre (855 Elm Ave, Long Beach 90813)

Registration Fee: $95 per student, or $40 per student with a participating registered parent. Adults - no registration fee.

Optional Merch available for purchase (T-Shirt & Personalized Water Bottle) for an additional $35 per person.
