KATIE’S KIDS DANCE CLASSES

In these classes we will learn the basics of dance including an analog of steps, center and
across the floor exercises, and a variety of combinations. We will also focus on rhythm and style as well as technique. Then we will conclude with a routine in our final showcase! You can join one, two, or all three of these classes.

Ballet: Have you ever watched “The Nutcracker” and imagined dancing on the stage? Or maybe you’d
just like to learn some technique to help in your other dance classes? This ballet class is
definitely for you!

Tap: Whether you have some experience or just bought your first pair of tap shoes, this class is for
you! You’ll learn the basics, work on your technique, and learn some fun combinations.

Jazz: All that what? Jazz! Learn the leaps, turns and poses that make this diverse style of dance so
popular. You’ll be leaving class jazz-walking with a new found sense of confidence and style!

Instructor Bio

KATIE DAVIS: has been a working dancer/teacher/choreographer in the industry for years, having done
many professional musicals as well as choreographed for children’s theatre. Katie has training
in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, broadway/musical theatre dance, hiphop, and many other styles.

Registration open to students ages 6 - 13 years old

Three Classes: 3:30pm - 4:45pm Ballet: Mon June 22 - August 10, Tap: Tues June 23 - August 11, Jazz: Thurs June 25 - August 13 at the Los Altos UMC (5950 E Willow St, Long Beach, CA 90815)

Program: $160 one class, $240 two classes, $280 three classes
